With the help of Evangelical Free Church of America pastors from Deer Park and Colville, Chewelah Evangelical Free Church (CEFC) was incorporated in March, 2001. The church called their first pastor in June 2002. Since that time CEFC has enjoyed the ministry of two full-time pastorates, with interim pastorates in between.
The church began meeting in the local Senior Center. In 2010, CEFC completed a church building at our current location on five acres of land with mostly volunteer labor and no debt. A larger sanctuary was added in 2018, also with volunteers and no debt.
By God’s grace our congregation has blossomed over the years from about a dozen to over 100. We look forward to what our Heavenly Father has in store for our church in the future.
